Born in Blantyre, Scotland on December 10, 1812.  Rev. Gordon came to this country with his parents in 1817 and graduated from Middlebury College in 1840.  Gordon then continued his education at Union Theological Seminary in 1846.  In March 21, 1849, Gordon was ordained as pastor of the church at Hollis as successor to rev. Aiken.  Gordon was soon dismissed in consequence of ill-health in June of 1852.  He later died in Hoosic Falls, NY in August of 1853.
