William C. Sipe

Reverend Sipe was born in 1894 in York, PA.  A graduate of Albright College and New York Theological Seminary, he earned one of the highest degrees in the science of theology from Harvard University.  He served the Hollis church from 1928 until 1941.  Without aid of a car, he made regular calls on homes throughout the are, often jogging his way from home to home.  Reverend Sipe was named Minister Emeritus of the Hollis Church in 1962.  A scholarship in Reverend Sipe's name aids United Church of Christ Seminary students today.  He died in 1978.
